Leraut 2014 lists only Ephestia parasitella Staudinger, 1859, and E. woodiella Richards & Thomson, 1932, as species in Europe within the parasitella group. He contends that E. unicolorella Staudinger, 1881, is only authentically known from Turkey and Spain.
