Comparison between Phyllonorycter spinicolella and P. cerasicolella.
Antrum usually extends beyond 7th segment
Measure length and width of the antrum. In spinicolella the ratio is 5 to 5.5 (length divided by width) and in cersasicolella it is around 7. The length is also shorter in spinicolella.
Also, another crucial genital difference compared to Phyllonorycter spinicolella is the number of turns of the ductus spermatheca: about 20 in this species, and less than 10 P. spinicolella
